COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

Our company is committed to being an active player in local philanthropy.  We are dedicated to giving back to the community that has blessed us with over sixty years of successful business.  This past December we partnered with Crisis Control Ministries and raised 2,000 cans of food for their community food bank.  We sponsor teams with the Kernersville Soccer Association and Kernersville Little League and are an honorary member of the Kernersville Little League Hall of Fame.  We are also pleased to partner with many local schools including Kernersville Elementary, East Forsyth High School and Robert B. Glenn High School.  We also sponsor several local chartiable organizations including the Shepherds Center, the Lions Club, and the Eric Head Memorial Scholarship Fund.  We are a member of the Kernersville Chamber of Commerce.

MEET OUR STAFF

LARRY WHICKER – A life-long Kernersville native, Larry is a second-generation dealer.  Larry has over forty years of experience in the car business, and has owned and operated both new and used dealerships.  He has shifted his focus to selling like-new, pre-owned vehicles at competitive prices, and the results have been tremendous.  Larry Whicker Motors is consistently one of the most recognized and well-respected sellers of pre-owned vehicles in the Piedmont Triad area.  Larry has grown his business by focusing not on the vehicles that he sells, but the relationships that he cultivates with his customers.  Larry is married with two grown children and two grand-daughters.  He is actively involved as a member of Triad Baptist Church where he serves as an usher.  He also mentors local elementary school students through the Kernersville Coaches Who Care Program.

ZACH WHICKER – Zach, Larry’s son, joined the family business in March of 2005, and wears many different hats within the organization.  Zach’s main responsibilities include purchasing inventory, sales, and day to day operations of the dealership.  Zach is married and has two daughters, Summer and Leighton.  His family is actively involved at Hope City Church in Wallburg where he serves as a Worship Leader.  He attended Guilford College where he was a four year starter on the baseball team  Zach looks forward to continuing to serve the Triad area for many years to come.   

MEGAN DOWNHAM - Megan joined our team in June of 2011.  Her duties include stocking in new inventory, managing the website, completing sales paperwork, DMV work and is our notary.  If you drive by you might even see her on the lot photographing a new purchase for our website.  Megan is married with no children but she does have 8 dogs!

MARK HUGHES - Mark joined our team in March of 2015 after a successful career in management with RJ Reynolds Tobacco.  He has quickly gained a reputation for friendly and outstanding customer service.  Mark is married with two children and two grand-children and calls Kernersville home.  He is actively involved at Triad Baptist Church and he looks forward to helping you with all of your vehicle needs!
